Data Deletion
To request deletion of your data from the idX app:
- Local Data: All your inventory data is stored locally on your device. Simply uninstall the idX app to permanently delete all your data.
- Account Data: idX does not require accounts, so there is no account data to delete.
- Analytics Data: For any analytics or diagnostic data, email us at jeffaoduro@gmail.com with your request.
Data Types:
- Deleted immediately: All inventory items, photos, and personal data (stored locally)
- Retained: Purchase history may be retained by Google Play for billing purposes
- Analytics data: Deleted within 30 days of request

Your privacy is critically important to us. This policy outlines how idX handles your information.
Data Collection and Usage
idX is designed with privacy as a core feature. We do **not** collect, store, or transmit any of your personal data. All information you enter into the app, including item names, photos, prices, locations, and other metadata, is stored exclusively on your local device.
- No User Accounts: The app does not require you to create an account or sign in.
- Local Storage: Your entire inventory database and all associated images are stored in a private, sandboxed directory on your device. This data does not leave your device unless you explicitly choose to export it.
- Camera & Photo Library Access: The app requires access to your camera and/or photo library solely for the purpose of adding images to your inventory items. These images are processed on-device and stored locally.
- Location Access: The app may ask for location access to tag the GPS coordinates where an item was scanned. This location data is stored locally with the item and is not shared.
In-App Purchases
idX offers a premium subscription. All payments are processed securely through Apple's App Store. We do not see or store your payment information.
Third-Party Services
The free version of idX uses Google AdMob to display ads. Google may collect anonymous data to serve relevant ads. You can review Google's privacy policy for more information.
Your Rights
Since all data is stored on your device, you have complete control over it. You can add, edit, or delete your data at any time directly within the app.
Terms of Service
By using the idX app, you agree to these terms:
- The app is provided "as is" without warranty.
- You are responsible for the data you enter and for backing up your data using the provided export feature.
- The AI identification feature is a tool to assist you and may not always be 100% accurate.
