batch scan
scan multiple items in rapid succession without returning to the home
screen. perfect for adding entire shelves or storage boxes to your
inventory.
how it works
step 01
start batch mode
from the home screen, tap the batch scan card to enter continuous
scanning mode.
step 02
scan first item
point your camera at the first item. the ai will automatically detect
and identify it. once identified, the item details screen appears.
step 03
save and continue
review the item details and tap save. instead of returning to the home
screen, you will immediately return to the camera to scan the next
item.
step 04
repeat
continue scanning items one after another. each save returns you to
the camera for the next scan.
step 05
exit batch mode
tap the back button or close button to exit batch scan mode and return
to your inventory.

tips for efficient batch scanning
-
organize items in a line or grid before starting to maintain a steady
workflow.
-
ensure good lighting across all items to avoid re-scanning.
-
for items with barcodes, have them facing the same direction for
faster scanning.
-
use the same category for similar items to speed up the save process.
-
if an item fails to identify, skip it and come back later with single
scan mode.
editing batch-scanned items
items added via batch scan can be edited later from your inventory. you
can:
- add expiry dates
- set prices
- tag locations
- add to collections
- attach documents
- record voice notes
performance notes
ai detection speed
batch scan uses the same ai detection as single scan. detection speed
depends on:
- device processing power
- lighting conditions
- item complexity
- camera stability
battery usage
continuous camera and ai usage will drain battery faster than normal.
for long batch scan sessions, consider:
- charging your device beforehand
- using a power bank during scanning
- taking breaks to let device cool down
troubleshooting
camera freezes
- exit batch scan mode and restart
- close other apps to free memory
- restart device if issue persists
slow detection
- improve lighting conditions
- hold camera steady on item
- ensure item is in focus
- close background apps
items not saving
- check available storage space
- verify camera permission is granted
- restart app and try again
