batch-add multiple items instantly by scanning receipts. uses ocr
technology to extract item names and prices automatically.

how it works
step 01
access scanner
from the home screen, tap the receipt scanner card to open the
scanner.
step 02
capture receipt
choose your input method:
- take photo — use camera to capture receipt in real-time
- choose from gallery — select existing receipt photo
step 03
wait for processing
the app will analyze the receipt using ocr. this typically takes 5-10
seconds depending on receipt complexity.
step 04
review extracted items
the scanner will display all detected items with:
- item name
- price
- checkbox for selection
all items are pre-selected. uncheck any items you do not want to add.
step 05
add to inventory
tap "add x items" to batch-add all selected items to your inventory.
each item will be created with the extracted name and price.
tips for best results

ensure receipt is flat and well-lit when photographing.

avoid shadows, glare, or reflections on the receipt surface.

capture the entire receipt in frame, including store name and total.

hold camera parallel to receipt for clearest text recognition.

thermal receipts work best when fresh — faded receipts may have poor
ocr accuracy.
what gets extracted
the receipt scanner attempts to extract:
- store name: displayed at top of results
- purchase date: shown in header if detected
- total amount: displayed in header
- line items: each product with name and price
editing items after import
items added via receipt scanner can be edited like any other item. you
can:
- add photos by tapping the item and using ai identification
- set expiry dates for perishable items
- add to collections
- tag with location
- attach warranty documents
troubleshooting
no items detected
- ensure receipt image is clear and in focus
- try retaking photo with better lighting
- check that receipt text is readable to human eye
- some handwritten receipts may not be recognized
incorrect prices or names
- ocr accuracy depends on receipt quality
- review and uncheck incorrect items before adding
- you can edit items after import if needed
processing takes too long
- ensure stable internet connection
- very long receipts may take longer to process
- restart app if processing exceeds 30 seconds

note: handwritten receipts and heavily stylized formats may have reduced
accuracy.
